A Slice of Modernity on Sandy Ground

Gente di mare, gente di lavoro — rest like the sun in the shade.

→ Nightly walk of approx. 30 km
→ From Bagno to Bagno along the Adriatic coast
→ Walking barefoot in the sand where possible — otherwise on nearby roads
→ First half of the night: optional dancing
→ Second half: walking into the cool of morning
→ We sleep on beach loungers with private cabins along the route.
→ Costs approx. € 25 – 30 per day
→ The Bagni open between 8 and 9 a.m.
→ Travel light — except for your summer reading

→ Shared dinners (tavolata) in local restaurants
→ Heavy summer reading
→ Lightweight clothing for walking
→ Sleep mask / earplugs for daytime rest
→ A beach bag for light luggage

As a summer counterpart to the winter Night Walks through Distribution Landscapes, San Keller invites you to a sun-drenched variation in 2025: five nights along the Adriatic coastline — from Ravenna to Ancona. By day, we rest on a sunbed at the Bagno; by night, we dance and walk.
Since the 1990s, San Keller has explored the boundary between art and everyday life, labour and leisure, visibility and disappearance through his night walks.
The classic winter editions, held along the A1 motorway, offer a subversive gaze on logistics and the modern working world.
From distribution landscapes to the shoreline — along the border between land and sea, on beaches functioning as sites of disciplined leisure and state-sponsored summer maintenance of the working body.
